Can I teach Rhyme time with my whole class?
We recommend that you run the Rhyme time activities with smaller groups, however, we have seen lots of settings use the nursery rhymes with larger groups very successfully.
Just remember that the different games linked to each rhyme practise different aspects of phonological awareness, so playing them will help you identify children who might need a little extra help.
If you do run the sessions whole-class, make sure you keep a close eye on your wobbly learners and scoop them up at a different time, in a smaller group or one-to-one to give them extra support.
