Do children have to read and write the sentence in Practise and apply?
The sentences are for reading practice except on Fridays in Year 1. Sentences for writing are marked as such. In Reception children only start writing short sentences from Spring 2.
Top tip: Always look at the templates for each half term’s planning. These clearly state what to do. Some terms have different activities and so a different template, so always download the right one. They can be found at the top of each half term’s plans.
