Do we need to buy any resources for Foundations?

Yes. Our Phase 2 picture cards feature heavily in the games you’ll be playing with your children throughout the year. We recommend buying at least two sets of cards, as this will allow greater flexibility for timetabling small-group sessions simultaneously. (The smaller the groups, the better for Foundations for Phonics!)

Next, the Love of Reading content is designed around 10 popular books and you’ll want to make sure you have at least a couple of these texts on your shelves. You can find all 10 listed here. Where you source the books from is entirely up to you!

Every other resource you need for teaching Foundations can be downloaded from the Little Wandle website.
