Do we need to record all our reading practice sessions?
The most important thing to do during every reading practice session is tap into every child to listen to them read. That way, you will know who is doing really well and who might need a little additional help. Make sure you pass on this information to the rest of the team, so they can provide extra help, be it through Daily Keep-up or repeated practice.
If you want to write notes to help you do this, you will find a reading practice session record sheet on the Reading tab in Getting started. You are welcome to use this, or your own record sheet, or nothing at all. The main thing is to listen to children read and act upon what you hear.
