How can Foundations help me teach nursery rhymes?

In the Rhyme time area we’ve given you resources for teaching 20 well-known nursery rhymes.

• Timetable your Rhyme time sessions daily, either as a whole class or in small groups.
• Teach one rhyme every 1-2 weeks and repeat the rhymes across the year.

Each Rhyme time plan in our Foundations for Phonics area features three rhyme-focused activities:

1. Which word rhymes?
2. Play with words.
3. Join in.
