How can I best support children’s emergent writing in Nursery?
Get the foundations right in Nursery
Emergent writing (as with so much other learning) is underpinned by communication and language. For this reason, in Nursery the focus should be on developing children’s language, leaving the more formal teaching of writing to Reception.
Further guidance about emergent writing can be found here.
