If each group of six children needs to read the matched phonics book three times a week, does that mean that every child will need the same book?

The books match the children’s secure phonic knowledge, not the GPCs taught in class. We use assessments to match the children to the correct level of book. Children are taught in groups of approximately six, and they will all need the same book.
