Is reading in books taught separately?
Reading is taught separately to the daily whole-class phonics lesson, and is covered in Module 5. It is taught three times a week in small groups by a trained adult. All of the teaching is modelled on the website, where we have example timetables too.
We cover how to audit, organise and teach reading practice sessions in the live Reading Leader 1 webinar, which schools can book on every week.
