Assessment tracker
Please help me understand assessment and book levels.
As your children progress, many of you have been asking similar questions about how the Assessment tracker works in terms of matching pupils’ growing sound knowledge to book levels.
Please refer to our fantastic blog ‘Understanding assessment and book levels’ which provides all the answers to the most common questions:
- How are the book levels worked out?
- Why is children’s ability to read words automatically included in the book level calculation?
- What if the suggested book level seems wrong?
- Why might different book levels be suggested for children with seemingly similar heatmaps?
- Why is the Assessment tracker not suggesting a book level?
- Using the matching grids
If you have any questions about using the Assessment tracker please get in touch with our tracker team (assessments@littlewandle.org.uk) who are the best people to answer all your questions.
