Should we use the Foundations resources for our rising threes?
You should absolutely use the Foundations for Language approach for all your children. However, Foundations for Phonics and Foundations for a Love of Reading are designed to be delivered in the last year of Nursery to get children ready for Reception. They both involve adult-led sessions that might well be too much for your littlest ones!
Don’t ban them from joining in though – we have seen some great examples of rising threes joining in and loving it! Use your knowledge of your children to make that decision.
