What assessment do I do once I have finished teaching Phase 5 review?
All the children need to do the Phase 5 review assessment. Children reading Phase 5 Set 3, 4 and 5 books need to do the matching Fluency assessment.
Do not stop teaching reading with the Phase 5 books until the children have completed them. All children should read the Phase 5 set 5 books for at least five weeks (and then complete the Phase 5 Set 5 fluency assessment) before exiting the core programme (and perhaps graduating to the wonderful Big Cat for Little Wandle Fluency books).
