How do we encourage really quite children during Rhyme time?

It’s good to be aware of these children, who are often at risk of being overlooked. They may be quiet because they are shy or they may have underlying needs such as an undiagnosed hearing loss or language delay due to speaking English as an additional language. Whatever the reason, keep them in the group where they can benefit from listening to their more confident peers and consider running an additional one-to-one or smaller group Rhyme time session at another time of the day.
