What do you mean by ‘explore sensory aspects of the text’?
Not every book has sensory pages where children can feel a soft or bumpy texture, but all books have words or illustrations you can use to help children explore their sensory world.
Our book plans offer suggestions for exploring the sensory aspects of ten stories that are popular with Nursery children. For example, in the book Where’s Lenny? by Ken Wilson-Max, Daddy ‘sniffs’ and ‘hears a bubbling noise’. To make these words come alive for your little ones, you could provide different types of jam for the children to smell, or practise blowing bubbles like a goldfish!
