Can you explain what a quadgraph is?

A quadgraph is a group of four letters that work together to produce a single phoneme in a word. 

Examples of quadgraphs are:

• eigh – sleigh, eight, weight
• augh – taught, daughter, caught
• ough – ought, bought, thought
