What is included in the Summer 1: PSC preparation assessment?

The Summer 1: PSC preparation assessment includes a range of GPCs that commonly feature in the Phonics Screening Check, plus some of the less common GPCs. It tests these in both real and alien words to prepare children for the check. It also includes the Spring 2 tricky words. These obviously won’t appear in the check but need to be revisited so they’re not forgotten.

Remember that you can use the Summer: 1 PSC preparation assessment as many times as you like to help you know children’s gaps ahead of the check. Enter your data on the tracker to show the progress you make with your wobbly children in the run-up to the PSC.
