Assessment tracker
Why does the tracker say ‘refer to matching grids’?
From time to time, the Assessment tracker might ask you to refer to the matching grids. Nine times out of ten, this is because the child has not met the criteria for the most recent assessment point and so the tracker looks back to previous assessments and cannot find enough data to make a book level suggestion.
By referring you to the matching grids, the tracker is giving you the rules that it uses to suggest a book level. This is explained in our Understanding assessments and book levels blog.
