Little Wandle Code is an all-in-one assessment and phonics intervention programme to support struggling readers in Key Stage 3. It is designed to systematically improve children’s decoding, fluency and comprehension skills.

How it works

Little Wandle Code effectively blends direct instruction – using tools designed to overcome barriers to reading – with diagnostic and ongoing assessments to give you an accurate understanding of each child’s needs and progress.

Piloted with 60 secondary schools and with expert input from Professors Kate Cain and Teresa Cremin, Little Wandle Code has been developed with data and assessment experts, FFT, and our publishing partner, HarperCollins.
